Sport Scale Long EZE

The Sport Scale Long-EZE was derived from three canard aircraft designs. Characteristics and details from the Long EZ, E-Racer and Berkut were incorporated into the airframe and wing design.

Fuselage construction is a combination of laser cut interlocking plywood with balsa sheeting over the top and bottom surfaces. A fiberglass nose, wheel pants and engine cowls are provided with the kit, which reduces fuselage build time. The pusher engine configuration allows for greater accessibility to the engine as well as fuel system. The wing and winglets are constructed from solid foam cores, which are reinforced with carbon graphite fiber tape and sheeted with 1/16" balsa planking. 

The characteristics of this design offer greater strength and durability than the traditional rib and spar construction techniques. Additionally, winglet rudders and aileron servos are mounted directly in the wing, inches away from the control surface. Control surfaces are directly coupled to the servo, eliminating control cable backlash and improving trim setting stability. Flying the Sport Scale Long-EZE is a highly rewarding experience. The winglets enforce a strong directional stability. Stall characteristics are gentle, with the nose of the aircraft dropping forward. Fitted with a .46 size 2-stroke engine and a three-blade propeller, the aircraft is capable of speeds approaching 90 mph. The roll characteristics are second to none!

The Long EZE will soon be offered in three different BIY kits; Deluxe, Standard, & Short.

The Short kit will contain all the fiberglass, CNC foam cores, Laser cut wood parts, plans, manual, & canopy.

The Standard kit will contain everything the short kit does plus all the other plywood and balsa pieces required, main gear, and nose gear.

The Deluxe kit will contain everything the Standard kit does plus a more extensive hardware package (current kit).
